Snowball Cookies

A delightful treat that melts in your mouth with a rich buttery flavor and a perfect dusting of powdered sugar.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup nuts, finely chopped (pecans or walnuts)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup additional powdered sugar for coating

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and 1/2 cup of powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  5. Fold in the chopped nuts.
  6. Form the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before rolling in the additional powdered sugar.
  9. Allow to cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
