  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 onion sliced

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and add the garlic.
  2. Season the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper, then sear it in the skillet on all sides until browned.
  3. Transfer the beef to the slow cooker and add the sliced onion and beef broth.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender.
  5. Shred the beef with two forks and serve with the cooking juices.
