Salted Caramel Chocolate Tart

A rich and decadent dessert that combines the flavors of salted caramel and chocolate in a perfect tart.

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press mixture into the bottom and sides of a tart pan.
  3. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then let it cool.
  4. In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and 1/4 cup of water. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
  5. Bring to a boil without stirring until it turns a deep amber color, then remove from heat.
  6. Stir in heavy cream, vanilla, and sea salt until smooth.
  7. Pour the caramel mixture into the tart crust and let it cool.
  8. In a separate saucepan, heat heavy cream until it simmers. Pour over chocolate chips and let sit for 5 minutes before stirring until smooth.
  9. Pour the chocolate ganache over the cooled caramel and let it set in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  10. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a sprinkle of sea salt on top before serving.
  • You can make this tart a day in advance for best results.
