  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into oval patties.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties until browned on both sides.
  4. Add beef broth to the skillet and bring to a simmer.
  5. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water, then stir into the skillet to thicken the sauce.
  6. Serve the Salisbury steaks with the gravy.
