  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, then mix well.
  4. Stir in red food coloring until fully incorporated.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until fully combined.
  6. Spread half of the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  7. In a separate bowl, beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  8. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer in the pan.
  9. Top with the remaining brownie batter, spreading it evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  11. Let it cool before slicing into squares.
