  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, sugar, and eggs until smooth.
  2. Add flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt. Mix until just combined.
  3. Pour batter into a greased pan and bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.
  4. Allow the cake to cool completely before assembling the trifle.
  5. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  6. Layer cooled cake and whipped cream in a trifle dish, repeating until all ingredients are used.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
