  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add pumpkin puree, melted butter, brown sugar, egg, salt, and spices to the mixture. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour until a dough forms. Knead for 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and spread melted butter over it.
  6. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar mixture on top, then roll into a log.
  7. Cut into rolls and place in a greased baking dish.
  8. Let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Mix powdered sugar and milk together to make the icing, then drizzle over warm rolls.
