- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for icing)
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add pumpkin puree, melted butter, brown sugar, egg, salt, and spices to the mixture. Mix well.
- Gradually add flour until a dough forms. Knead for 5 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and spread melted butter over it.
- Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar mixture on top, then roll into a log.
- Cut into rolls and place in a greased baking dish.
- Let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk together to make the icing, then drizzle over warm rolls.
