  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, sugar, oil, and eggs until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture and stir until just combined.
  5. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Let the bars cool completely.
  7. In a separate bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Frost the cooled bars.
  8. Slice into squares and serve.
