A delightful homemade pizza that combines rich flavors and a flaky crust.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup ice water
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 pound Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt.
  2. Add the cold butter and mix until crumbly.
  3. Stir in the ice water until a dough forms.
  4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. In another bowl, beat the eggs and mix in the ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses.
  7. Add the sausage, bell peppers, and basil to the egg mixture and stir well.
  8. Roll out the dough and press it into a pie dish.
  9. Pour the filling into the crust and bake for 45-50 minutes.
  10. Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Serve warm or at room temperature.
  • Garnish with extra basil if desired.
