Pancake Sausage Breakfast Bake

A delicious and easy breakfast bake that combines pancakes and sausage for a filling morning meal.

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups pancake mix
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the pancake mix, milk, eggs, vanilla extract, maple syrup, baking powder, and cinnamon until just combined.
  4. Pour half of the pancake batter into a greased baking dish.
  5. Spread the cooked sausage evenly over the batter.
  6. Pour the remaining batter over the sausage.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Drizzle with maple syrup before serving.

Notes

  • You can add chocolate chips or berries to the batter for a sweet twist.
  • Use turkey sausage for a lighter option.
