Monterey Chicken One-Pan Orzo

  • 4 pieces chicken breasts
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add orzo and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
  6. Place the chicken back on top of the orzo and sprinkle with Monterey Jack cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the orzo is tender.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!
