A delicious and savory Mongolian Beef recipe that’s perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce and cornstarch. Add the sliced steak and marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add marinated beef and cook until browned.
  3. Add garlic and ginger, then stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
  4. Stir in brown sugar and sesame oil, cooking until the sauce thickens.
  5. Finally, add chopped green onions and cook for an additional minute.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes.
