  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, milk, oil, eggs, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt until combined.
  3. Pour half of the batter into a greased baking pan.
  4. In another bowl, combine ricotta cheese and powdered sugar, then spread over the batter in the pan.
  5. Add the remaining batter on top of the ricotta layer.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let it cool before serving, then sprinkle with chocolate chips.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
  • Serve with fresh berries or whipped cream.
