Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the sugar until combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then gradually add this to the wet mixture.

  6. Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish.
  7. Dollop the cookie dough evenly over the brownie layer.
