French Toast Casserole

A delicious and easy-to-make breakfast casserole that combines the classic flavors of French toast with turkey bacon.

  • 1 loaf brioche bread
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 ounces cooked turkey bacon, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Cut the brioche bread into cubes and add to the egg mixture, making sure the bread is fully submerged.
  4. Fold in the chopped turkey bacon.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and let it sit for about 15 minutes.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • This casserole can be prepared the night before and stored in the refrigerator until ready to bake.
  • Top with fresh berries or additional maple syrup when serving.
