2 cups cooked orzo
1 pound shredded cooked chicken
2 cups French onion soup
1 cup shredded cheese (Gruyere or Swiss)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked orzo, shredded chicken, French onion soup, half of the cheese, olive oil, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
Mix well and transfer to a greased baking dish.
Top with the remaining cheese.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, you can caramelize some onions and mix them in.
This casserole can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
