Easy Sushi Bake

A fun and innovative twist to traditional sushi, featuring turkey bacon in a delicious bake.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 8 slices turkey bacon
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 sheet nori, shredded

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Rinse sushi rice under cold water until water runs clear.
  3. In a pot, combine rice and water, bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat and cover for 20 minutes.
  4. In a small bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved.
  5. Once rice is cooked, fluff with a fork and stir in the vinegar mixture.
  6. In a skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy, then chop.
  7. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, sriracha, and green onions.
  8. In a baking dish, layer rice, the cream cheese mixture, and turkey bacon.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until bubbly.
  10. Serve warm topped with shredded nori.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, increase the amount of sriracha.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like avocado or cucumber for added freshness.
