Crock Pot American Goulash

Crock Pot American Goulash is a delightful comfort food dish featuring turkey bacon, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups bell peppers, diced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 12 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and chop.
  2. In the same skillet, brown ground turkey, onion, and garlic until turkey is cooked through.
  3. Add bell peppers and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a crock pot, add remaining ingredients and chopped turkey bacon.
  5. Stir well, cover, and cook on low for 6 hours.
  6. Stir in cooked elbow macaroni during the last 30 minutes of cooking.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to taste.
