- 6 slices of brioche bread
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, for greasing
- 1/4 cup additional sugar, for caramelizing
- In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, milk, eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- Arrange the brioche slices in a greased baking dish and pour the egg mixture over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
