  • 2 cans (28 ounces each) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the crushed tomatoes, vegetable broth, and dried basil. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Reduce heat and stir in the heavy cream. Cook for 5 more minutes.
