- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup chopped nuts (optional)
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tray with paper liners.
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, sugars, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, beat the butter and eggs until fluffy. Stir in the vanilla and sour cream.
- Gradually combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing until just blended. Fold in nuts if using.
- Fill the muffin liners ¾ full and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool slightly before removing from the tray.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar on top before baking.
- These muffins can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature.
