- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons chocolate shavings for garnish
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In one bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and whole milk.
- Once the cake has cooled, poke holes all over the top with a fork and slowly pour the milk mixture over the cake.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form and spread it over the top of the cake.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings.

- For a richer flavor, let the cake soak overnight.
