  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp chai spice blend
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add softened butter, egg, salt, and flour. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead until smooth and elastic. Let rise for 1 hour.
  4. Roll out the dough and spread a mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon on top.
  5. Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
  6. Place slices in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool before serving.
