  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs with melted butter and press into the bottom of a springform pan.
  3. Melt the chocolate chips and let cool slightly. Beat together cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and melted chocolate.
  5. Pour the cheesecake filling into the crust and bake for 50-55 minutes. The center should be set but slightly jiggly.
  6. Allow cooling, then top with caramel sauce and chopped walnuts, if desired.
