  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a muffin tin with liners.
  2. In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, and melted butter together.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed. Fold in walnuts.
  5. Divide the batter into the muffin tin and bake for 18-20 minutes.
  6. In a small saucepan, combine honey and water to make a syrup. Heat until blended.
  7. Once muffins are baked, spoon syrup over the warm muffins.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add vanilla extract to the wet ingredients.
  • These muffins are best served warm.
