- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup water
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a muffin tin with liners.
- In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, and melted butter together.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed. Fold in walnuts.
- Divide the batter into the muffin tin and bake for 18-20 minutes.
- In a small saucepan, combine honey and water to make a syrup. Heat until blended.
- Once muffins are baked, spoon syrup over the warm muffins.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add vanilla extract to the wet ingredients.
