Asian Sticky BBQ Chuck Roast

A deliciously sticky and flavorful twist on the classic chuck roast, infused with Asian flavors.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chuck roast
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Place the chuck roast in a roasting pan and pour the marinade over it.
  4. Cover the pan with foil and roast for 3-4 hours until tender.
  5. Remove the foil and increase the temperature to 375°F (190°C) to caramelize the sauce for an additional 30 minutes.
  6. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chuck roast overnight.
  • Serve with steamed rice and vegetables.
